This moose was photographed yesterday by our new neighbors on the river east of the RV Park, Goran and Flisa Berndtsson. They have seen this nice bull two days in a row and he's most likely living right along the river near here. Mule deer and whitetail deer on the hay fields, beaver in the ponds, and this moose living next door are just some of the wildlife visible right here our ranch.
In the last week there have been grizzly right next to town again, one large boar photographed in our friends yard. We saw three grizzly flying Monday morning also, high above Rams Horn peak. In August most the grizzly move up real high on the shale slopes above the tree line to eat moth that hatch under the rocks. They can eat thousands of moth each day and that is part of their late summer diet, preparing them for winter.
